Woodland Middle School Home
Geography Bee

The National Geographic Bee is a nationwide contest for schools with any grade(s) four through eight.  It is an educational outreach program of the National Geographic Society. The Bee is held annually in January and is open to all students registered at Woodland.
There are three levels of school competition.
1) Preliminary competition at the individual classroom level.
2) Semi-final competition, which results in 10 students being eligible for the final level of competition.
3) Final competition resulting in one school winner.

The school winner will be required to take a written test in order to qualify for State level competition.  The student must place in the top 100 scores on the qualifying test.  State competition winners are then eligible to compete with students at the National level.
